Peader Kearney
Peader Kearney, 1883-1942. For most of his life, worked as a labourer.
A member of the Gaelic League and the Irish Volunteers; was out in 1916.
Became disillusioned after the Civil War. Author of many well-loved rebel
songs, including Down by the Glenside
(aka Bold Fenian Men). Brendan Behan's uncle.
